 BPA or Bisphenol A is a chemical that is released from polycarbonate water bottles, even those in the promotional products industry.  Studies have shown the amount of BPA released is the same for new and old bottles alike.  The main factor causing increased levels of BPA to be released are whether the water bottle has been exposed to boiling water.
